Coronado Cougars Athletics General Information
2024-2025
The Athletic Department at Coronado High School welcomes you to one of the top high schools in El Paso County. This information is intended to answer questions you may have concerning the athletic programs at Coronado.
Coronado High School Athletic Registration Process
The official start dates for each season are subject to change due to CHSAA decisions. Please check the Coronado High School Athletic website for current start dates. Prior to being cleared to practice, each student athlete must have the online athletic registration forms completed, a current physician's clearance on file and the district athletic fee paid.
Athletes will not be allowed to try out until 3 parts are completed:
Online registration + physician's clearance + sports fee paid
All sports will be available on the Coronado Athletic website a few weeks prior to the scheduled start of the season.
Mandatory Parent Fall Sports Meeting - Wed, August 14th @ 6pm in the Main Gym.
Physical Evaluations: D11 Printable Physical Form This is a new physical form that must be used if you are getting a new physical. If you have one already of file, you will use this form when your physical expires. Only upload Page 4 of the Physical to the RSchoolToday.com online account.

First Day Of Fall Sports -
Aug 5th - Boys Golf
Aug 12th - Football, Cross Country, Boys Tennis, Boys Golf, Boys Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Cheerleading, Softball, Girls Flag Football.
Please have all student-athletes interested in a specific spring sport registered online and sports fee paid by August 2nd for Boys Golf and August 9th for Football, Cross Country, Boys Tennis, Boys Soccer, Girls Volleyball, Cheerleading, Softball and Girls Flag Football to ensure they are able to try-out on their 1st day of practice/tryouts.
For tryout information, or if you are in need of additional information regarding the sport of choice, please visit the Coronado Athletics page and select the sports tab on the left-hand side for pre-season practices and everything else you will need to know in order to make the most of your sports season!
We will start taking payments for Spring Sports on Thursday, August 1st. Fall sports fees must be paid no later than 3pm on the day BEFORE of tryouts for your sport (Aug 2nd or Aug 9th) at the Coronado Business Office located at the top of building A (fees are listed below). Payments are made in person @ the Business Office - no payments online or over the phone.
Sports Fees (not including Golf) - New Sports Fees for the 2024-25 school year
- Full Lunch - $41
- Reduced Lunch - $28 (if qualified, letter from District needs to be presented)
- Free Lunch - $14 (if qualified, letter from District needs to be presented)
- Out of District - $62 (does not attend Coronado or a D11 school)
Golf:
- Full Lunch - $50
- Reduced Lunch - $34 (if qualified, letter from District needs to be presented)
- Free Lunch - $17 (if qualified, letter from District needs to be presented)
- Out of District $75 (does not attend Coronado or a D11 School)
